Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, my two oldest girls birthdays are in the month of May. I wanted to do something special for them since one is an adult now and the other is almost an adult. Perhaps a way to start the transition into adult birthday celebrations. When I told Peter my idea, he thought it was perfect and said he would take care of the reservations. He ended up spoiling us rotten with a motel literally on the beach! We loved every second of our time there.
Here are some pictures from our trip:

Monday Madness: Where Have I Been?
Dear Friends and Family,
I do believe several of you have noticed that I have hardly posted anything for the month of May...and well...you know...I could come up with several reasons...if you are interested...
You are?
Here goes:
I do believe several of you have noticed that I have hardly posted anything for the month of May...and well...you know...I could come up with several reasons...if you are interested...
You are?
Here goes:
- We have been sick the better part of May...as well as the three months previous. Seriously, I thought once Spring came, we would be done with illness.
- I have been enjoying having a rather low-key month. The past six months have been very intense and busy. If I showed you pictures of my planner, you would be glad it wasn't you! When May's calendar pages slid across my desk with hardly anything on it, I decided to embrace it and enjoy the downtime.
- In my downtime, we have been enjoying the beautiful Spring weather in our area.
- We got our backyard all spruced up.
- We decided to switch up some of our curricula for homeschooling. (More on that later this month.)
Honestly, the list goes on and on...
I promise that I will start getting back into the swing of things, but it will probably be more low-key and less often over the summer. I'll get back into daily blogs this fall. For now, time to enjoy my family!
In the meantime, here are some pics from today, Mother's Day! Enjoy!

Throw-Back Thursday: Praise Reports From The Past
Dear Friends and Family,
Recently I was going through some papers and found a little book I had started to write praise reports in and then misplaced. As I was flipping through the little book, I decided I didn't necessarily want to keep the book, but the memories. So I am going to share a few of them here, I hope they bless you as well!
9/23/13
*Going to the Ladies Retreat in Salem was just what I needed. I am so thankful that months ago, my husband felt I should go. I needed the reminder on what Joy is: the knowledge that God is in control and He can handle whatever situation is.
*I'm thankful for my friend Glenda and her ability to make me laugh like a complete idiot!
*I'm thankful that I don't have to plan my future. God is in control, this gives me Joy!
9/24/13
*Wonderful prayer meeting last night. Just me and God meeting in my bedroom!
*Tony starts Resource Room today. He is apprehensive but he will do great.
8/4/15
I'm so thankful that the simple act of spending time with the Lord makes even the worst problems easy to get through!

Until next time...
Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
