Happy Mother's Day 2019

I originally posted this January 23, 2009, and rather decided that Mother's Day was a great day for it to repost this year!
I am blessed to have had a "mean" mom! Back in 2009, my hope was to be just like her and as my girls have sweetly (literally) let me know, I was able to accomplish that. In fact, they hope to be a "mean" mom just like their mom and Nana!
Just silly writing by an unknown author, but I hope you enjoy it. Better yet, I hope that you had a mother that loved you enough to be a "mean mom".
Happy Mother's Day, Marme!

Family Friday: One of the Joys of Special Needs

Dear Family and Friends,

When you have a child with special needs, you often have to grab at the smallest things to remind yourself that someday you will see progress is being made.

Family Friday: Interview with Shelby

Dear Friends and Family,
For January and February, I have been putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone and see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either! Shelby is next and I was quite entertained by her matter of fact answers as they show her dry sense of humor. Enjoy:

When this little boy came to live with us a couple years ago,

Throwback Thursday: My Christmas Wish List

Dear Friends and Family,

Today seems like a good day to remind everyone about the reason for Christmas. If you followed my blog a couple years ago, you would have read a guest post from a friend of mine who came from circumstances that weren't ideal.

Monday Madness: Celebrating My Girls' Bithdays

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you know, my two oldest girls birthdays are in the month of May. I wanted to do something special for them since one is an adult now and the other is almost an adult. Perhaps a way to start the transition into adult birthday celebrations. When I told Peter my idea, he thought it was perfect and said he would take care of the reservations. He ended up spoiling us rotten with a motel literally on the beach! We loved every second of our time there.

Here are some pictures from our trip:

I wrote the following blog post 13 years ago!
So hard to believe the time has gone by so fast!
I hope you enjoy reading what our little girls were doing
when they were newborn, eighteen months, 3 years old and 5 years old!

It's Ba-ack....

Cloth diapering....guess what? It's back. (I'm not sure it ever completely left...) Believe it or not....I am a huge supporter of it! Here's why you may not believe it:
