Welcome to Monday Madness where I will talk about pretty much anything
that comes to mind.
From homeschooling to special needs to strange blog posts about silly objects to interviewing a family member...you never know what you might read on Monday Madness! Enjoy!
First of all, I suppose I should tell you that I have an Android phone...
It's an LG something or other, I'm not really sure. Can you tell I'm not obsessed about what kind of phone I have? So all of these apps can be found on Google Play. Around 99% of them are free....
Secondly, I will also say that this post is not sponsored by any of these apps...
Here we go: (In no particular order...)
Photography:
To take my pics, I just use the camera that is installed on my phone. To edit, I use an app called Aviary. I absolutely love this app! Here are a couple examples of what you can do with it:
Speaking of photography, I use the Walgreen's app to get pictures printed off fast and easy. Obviously this app only works for you if there is a Walgreen's near you! They do great prints and always have specials and discounts going on.
Children:
I don't like my kiddos to use my phone. I am just particular that way. But there is an app I keep on my phone called the Kid's Timer. This is great to use for my special needs kiddos that need to visually see the time go down.
Ringtones, Wallpaper and Notifications:
Zedge is amazing! For Christmas, I went on and downloaded all new sounds for my frequent contacts. It was alot of fun! Now I have a different Christmas sound or song that comes on depending on the person that is texting or calling. Warning: I would not advice just browsing their top downloads as you will encounter things you would rather not. I simply use the search feature and type in what I am looking for.
Music:
Spotify, in my humble opinion, is the best music app out there. I love how easy it is to use, to search for music and the sound quality. We pay for the family plan which we share with my mom and our girls as well. This gives us the ability to search for specific songs, make our own playlists and download songs to our devices to play offline.
Books:
We love Kindle. We are Amazon geeks, what can I say? Our family of eight happen to be avid readers. All of us are reading at most any moment of the day. We finally broke down and started paying for Kindle Unlimited and we love it!
Bible:
There are several Bible apps out there. I have tried many of them, but the one that is the most user friendly (to me) is YouVersion.
Devotional:
While we are at it, our church has a great app. It's put out by our headquarters church in Portland, Oregon. Not only does it have devotions on it, but a ton of different resources. If you are interested, you can head here to check it out!
MISC:
The following apps don't really fall under any particular genre:

The following apps don't really fall under any particular genre:
- WIC: I don't know how many people out there partake of WIC services. Being involved with foster care, it is mandatory to get WIC services. And it is a great resource, so I don't mind. Recently, they updated how they do things and you can now check your balance on this app. You can also check whether something is approved by WIC, get recipes and a bunch of other things.
- IFTTT: I absolutely love this service! When I first got back into blogging, I would have to manually upload my posts to several social sites like Facebook, Twitter etc...the problem I ran into was that if I wasn't able to upload links to social media on a particular day, no one would go read the posts. But if I uploaded posts, I got tons of readers. To figure out this problem, I did some research and found IFTTT and my blogging world changed!
I think that wraps up my most used apps on my phone currently that I really enjoy! Let me know if you try any of them and like them!
Till next time...
Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
