Welcome to the Midweek Minute
Where I talk about the here and now...
Wow....it's been 18 days since surgery...
In some ways the past couple weeks have flown by and in other ways it has DRAGGED ON and ON and ON....
One reason it has felt like it was dragging on is because leading up to my surgery, I spend a good part of two months in my chair. The problems I was having completely zapped my energy and often made it so that I had to be near a bathroom at all times...so in reality....this "taking it easy" thing has been going on for months now. And I still have four weeks left...
My first pre-op appointment went well and I am healing as expected.
I would not be thankful if I didn't take the time to express how much my friends and family mean to me. They have been going above and beyond to help me in this slow healing process. From my mom organizing six weeks of meals so I don't have to worry about meals every night to my hubby who has been working full time and being a stand-in mom to my children who are picking up the slack in the housekeeping duties...I am so appreciative! Friends have been bringing meals and stopping by to say hi! It's not easy for me to be sitting and resting all the time. I am used to being the one getting things done all day long. The Lord is using this time to teach me a few things...for sure!
I pray you are all having a good week!
Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
Heidi
