Some time ago, I got on the internet and looked up how to make home-made soap but most of them called for making liquid soap which just looked messy and time consuming. Finally, about six to nine months ago, I found a recipe for dry laundry soap. I have tweaked it enough that it is now a new recipe! So here is my recipe for powered home-made soap that you can use in front loaders also!
1 cup Borax
1 cup washing soda
2 cups or 1/3 of a cup of a Zote soap (finely grated)
Mix it together and put it in a container for storage.
I use 1-2 rounded teaspoons for my front loader. However, I noticed when I was on vacation and had to use a top loader that it took a little more than that.
A couple notes: you can actually use any bar soap that is not perfumed in place of the Zote soap. Such as Ivory or something. Zote is a laundry bar and I really prefer the smell of it. I find it at Big Lots and other places.
They are HUGE bars too!

The savings is pretty amazing and it's simple.
Let me know if you try it and like it!
Till next time...
Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
