Welcome to memories...my memories....welcome to a Blast from my Crazy Past!
When our oldest was only two years old, our car was having serious problems...
We really feared that head gasket was blown. It wasn't going anywhere. Low and behold if our two year old daughter doesn't pipe up and say, "Wet's pway for ow caw." (Let's pray for our car...for those who couldn't read my baby-writing!) She walked over to our car, laid her hands on it and prayed her little heart out! That car started up and we never had problems again! We even sold it later down the road.
This daughter of mine is a girl that has a heart for prayer. I have no doubts that if she continues to keep her hand in the Lord's that she will be a mighty prayer warrior cause she is already headed that way. She has an aunt that is not living like she should and my daughter will get down and cry her heart out pleading for her aunt's soul! She has been known to carry a mighty burden for friends that have not asked Christ into their hearts. One of her little friends/cousin had told her that she didn't have Jesus in her heart. My daughter carried a heavy burden for her for a year or so. She would pray and pray. At family devotions, she would bring up this cousin and remind us to pray for her. You should have seen her eyes light up and her face just glow when her friend told her that she asked Jesus into her heart!
I feel so blessed to have children that are so sensitive to the Saviour and I pray that they all continue to stay that way.
This same young lady turned 18 this week....I'm blown away by how fast the past 18 years have gone. It's hard to believe my firstborn is ready to join the adult world.
I'm happy to say that the faith of this two-year old girl she was is still alive and well. I still remember the little 7 year old girl who came to me after church one evening and sobbing told me that she was scared and needed Jesus to save her! We stopped everything and prayed right there in the baby nursery!

Happy 18th birthday McKenzie! It has been such a blessing to watch you grow up into the wonderful young lady that you are and I can't wait to see what God does with your life!
Always....
