Family Fridays: Interview with McKenzie

Dear Friends and Family,
In January and February, I am putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone and see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either! McKenzie cracked me up with her answers, I think you will laugh!

What is your name? McKenzie

What do you think of garden gnomes? They are shifty little critters that watch everything..... everything....

You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What will you do with it? Ride it down the middle of downtown singing Prince Ali.

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island and had all your basic needs like food, water and shelter taken care of, what would be the two things you would want with you? A library full of my favorite books.

How much would you charge to wash every window in our town? $999,999,999,999,999,999.99

Design a spice rack for the blind. It would be a shelf that had little doors and on each little door was the braille name for the spice.

How many pennies would fit in our living room? 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,998

What was the last gift you gave someone? A tea cup, tea, hot chocolate, and a pound of reeses peanut butter cup.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? At work I was playing with one of my little charges. We were playing that I was the mommy and she was the baby that kept escaping nap time, making me have to chase her until I caught her and put her back to "nap".

Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind: It is the warmth of the sun and all happiness wrapped up in one color.

You open the front door and there is a penguin wearing a sombrero. He walks in the house, why is he there and what does he say? "Hi, ya so it says here in my script that I am supposed to tell you this Is a dream and you are late for work" then he waddles out and I hear a "cut" in the back ground.

If you opened a store, what would you sell? Coffee and Books.

What's a memory that makes you happy? Singing at rest homes with my Great-Grandpa Bill Jordan.

On a scale of 1-10, how strict are/were your parents? Five, because they have rules that kept me safe. But also they let me explore on my own with out shame if I failed.

Would you rather live a week in the past or a week in the future? That is hard. I think I will stay right here in the present for now.

If you could ask your pet three questions, what would they be?
  • 1. If you could use the toilet, would you?
  • 2. Why do you chew on my ears if I am gone passed an hour from your presence.
  • 3. Am I a good pet mommy?
Who is the funniest person you know? My mom hands down. Second place would go to Big Bro T Boss.

What sound do you love the most? Hearing my Great-Grandpa play his guitar while we are waiting for Great-Grandma to make food.

What is the worst thing you did as a kid? Stole a quarter.

What is something you want people to know about you? Jesus is my everything. He is even the reason I am alive today. I use to have a lot of health issues. But He healed me.

I, for one, find it interesting that she thinks I am the funniest person she knows...how strange! If you missed any past interviews, you can find them here:

Have a great weekend!
