Throwback Thursday: Go To Sleep! (2006)

Dear Friends and Family,

One of the main reasons I started my first blog way back in 2006-ish was to keep track of some of those fun memories that I didn't want to forget when my kiddos got older. The following post was written around 2006 when Jordyn and Shelby were about 5 and 2 years old. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reading it again!

I pray all my daughters will be good mothers! My five year old has always had that "specialness" that you see in a child that just makes you think, "Wow, they would make a good mother!" She has always said that she wants to be a mom and have lots of kids. (That was actually my dream at her age and I am living it now!) She is a very nurturing, caring soul. She loves to take care of others, almost driving her sisters crazy! She just has a LOVE for children and babies that is so sweet!Today I was on the computer and through the baby moniter I hear her sweet voice singing to one of her little sisters,"Go to sleep, little Shelby , I love you so. Go to sleep, little Shelby , I love you so. Don't cry little Shelby , your dad will be home..." It just kept going on and on! It is so cute!So I went in to see what they were doing. They were playing house. Shelby was the "baby". Jordyn said that Shelby was missing daddy so she started singing to her to make her feel better. Shelby was just laying there looking sweet and serene. Obviously enjoying the attention of her older sister! While Sierra was patting her forehead! Aww...the joys of motherhood! I LOVE it! THIS is what I signed up for and I am so thankful to the Lord for blessing me with wonderful children that love each other!
I very much remember that day! It was so sweet to see my girls all enjoying one another and playing so nicely together even though they were only tiny!

Praying your day is full of wonderful moments that can turn into sweet memories like the one above!
