Blast From The Crazy Past: Silly Girls

Welcome to memories...my memories....welcome to a Blast from my Crazy Past!

I found these two short blog posts on my old blog and decided to combine them in one. Let's just feature Jordyn and McKenzie real quick:

  • I need to grow healthy and strong!

On a recent trip, the girls were fighting over a bag of crackers. Me, being the mean mommy that I am, took the crackers away and said the usual,"Then none of you can have them." To which a exasperated Jordyn pleaded,"Mom, you can't take the crackers away...we need them to grow healthy and strong. If you take them away, we will stay little...like a mouse."

I have to say, she really thinks out her arguments! She will definitely rule as a debater!

    • Nervous First Grader

Today was officially the first day of the school year. I have had to hold off my eager beavers till I had everything put together. And let's face it, I know from my own experience that the thrill wears off real fast! So I made them wait till today.

Jordyn was SO excited to be doing schoolwork, she could hardly contain herself.

Mckenzie was equally excited, but as she sat down at her desk, she looked over at me and said,"Mom, I was really excited and a little nervous about starting school today."

While I assured her that it was a perfectly natural feeling for the first day of school, the irony of it all struck me a little funny: A home-schooler being nervous on their first day of school? Who would've thought!

I can't believe these two girls are now practically grown women! Jordyn is in 11th grade and McKenzie is making her way slowly into the working world! How did this happen??

      Till next time...

Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
