This favorite tradition comes from Sierra:
I have listened to it every Christmas for 14 years so it can get boring sometimes.
That doesn't matter however, the reason why I like it is because I sit there and my mind wanders to past
Christmas's and how fun they were.
And my mind wanders to the Christmas story and what it might have felt like to be in those scary and desperate times. I wonder what Mary might have felt like.
Sometimes I feel like I can relate to her.
I think about baby Jesus, God's gift to us, who would ultimately suffer a great deal on our behalf.
Then I remember how important it is to not think about receiving gifts at Christmas, but giving.
A smile slowly finds it's way on my face as I think about the special gifts I got for my siblings, and
how I made sure that when they opened them it would be something that would make their faces light up.
By then the chapter of the night for Cinnamon Bear would be over and I listen intently as my parents read part of the Christmas story.
That is my favorite Christmas tradition.
