Crazy Day....

In other words, today was normal...

Before the day seemed to get off it's feet I was doing the usual amount of baby diapers and baby laundry. With two of them, I have to get an early start before the girls start laundry for the day. I love saving money using cloth diapers. I'm so happy that a friend of mine got me started with them. We will need to buy another set at some point though. One set for two babies means that I am washing diapers constantly. And I mean....CONSTANTLY.

I had court at two different times today for the parents of our last set of babes. Before you ask, no...this is not required. Nor are we paid to do it. We do it because we want these parents to know that we are part of their team in keeping their family together. Oftentimes, these parents have been written off by everyone around them including the people that are supposed to be helping them. We have seen it happen time and time again. When we were still in the fostering stage before adopting our son 8 years ago, I ran a daycare. I don't know how many moms came through my daycare that people had given up on and at the time I wondered how we could help. Eight years later, the Lord has brought us to a point where we can help, even if it is simply showing up at court dates and letting them know that we care about what happens to them and their children.

I suspected one of our babies of having an ear infection, he had been pulling at his ear. With having a cold for a little over a week, it was time to go in and see what was going on. So we bundled him up and got him to the Dr this afternoon. Totally called it. Thankfully, the Dr said we got him in before it got bad. In the meantime, extra hugs and holding happening here...which totally makes up for the lack of sleep at night!

Random Thought Mid-Post: I hear Christmas music...it's like an obsession with my girls...and apparently they are trying to win the babies over to their side...because the Christmas music is coming from the baby monitor. Which means that someone changed the Spotify channel in the nursery....I have my usual suspects lined up in my head...Enjoy the pic from last winter...I hope it's a repeat this year!

George (aka JJ) helped me at the Doctor's office and then hung out with me at the pharmacy. We found a beautiful fall cross that says "Believe" on it for 50% off.

Tonight was quiet, we don't usually have much happening on Monday nights. Just as well tonight since the babies weren't feeling great. Perfect for snuggling babies close and reading a good book.

And now...now it's time to get some shut eye while our little snuggle bugs are sleeping!

"The Lord bless thee and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift his countenance upon thee and give thee peace." Numbers 6:24-26
