I'll be honest...I really haven't known where to go with this blog. I had numerous family members and friends let me know over the past couple years that they missed my blog and wanted me to write again...
So I did. On October 9, 2016, I got back on the band wagon and was really excited to do it!
However...
I have been struggling with what to write about. What would people want to read about? What did people like about my blog in the past?
This morning, I looked through posts from three years and older....it was a different life. I think I was a different person as well. Naive even. The past 2.5 years taught me lessons and helped me grow in ways I didn't realize I needed to grow. It all had to do with: fostering. It really consumes every part of our life. There isn't any area of our lives that isn't affected by fostering. We breath it, we live it, we cherish it and a lot of times we are frustrated by it. I don't think it is possible for me to write about any area of our lives and not talk about fostering. However, do people really want to read about this?
A couple days ago, I was pondering out loud about my blog dilemma and my oldest daughter said, "Mom, you write about what you love...it's about you...and what you love." When did she get to be so old and wise? Seriously? This blog should be about what I love? Huh....
So here goes, I'm just going to warn you...upfront...this blog....it's about what I love. My daughter is smarter than me. If I'm going to keep a blog, it needs to be about what I love, what drives me, what makes me crazy, what helps me, what inspires me....there will probably be posts about marriage, children, fostering, adoption, nameless children, special needs, named children, spiritual topics, my husband, our pets, our town, and just my crazy life in general.
SIDE NOTE: There will not be posts about politics or sports...cause those two subjects bore me and anger me. I'll let you guess which does which. And since I am taking my daughter's advice and writing about what I love...no sports or politics.
So there you have it. You have been warned. Now you get to decide about whether you want to keep reading my posts or scrolling on by knowing that nothing will interest you! It won't hurt my feelings either way.
To those who have been pestering me about getting my blog going again:
Is there anything you want to know about, think I should talk about, curious about our lives? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear from you!
Have a blessed day!

Good! We want to hear about you and the things that you love, the things that excite you. I am GLAD for no politics. I can live without you posting about sports. I can get my sports "fix" elsewhere. LOL I look forward to your posts and am glad you are starting them up again. I look forward to the funny, clever, silly things your kids are doing. I look forward to it all. Makes you and the family seem not so far away. I miss you all. <3
ReplyDeleteWe miss you too!
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent food for thought as I have been wondering what MY passion is these days...I'm glad you're blogging about YOU and what you love.
ReplyDeleteI hate sports. Yawn.
Well, it took a 17 year old to straighten me up! I think I was making it too difficult. Talk to your daughter, maybe she will have ideas for you! LOL
