Fostering Friday: Update On Tony From 2009

Welcome to Fostering Fridays! Our hope is that you will be able to get a taste of what it's like to foster by reading our experiences and thoughts!

I thought you might enjoy an update that was exciting to us back in 2009 when Tony was 15-16 months old or so...

One bright spot was when Tony's OT (Occupational Therapist) was here, she was impressed with how he has done this past month and showed me some ways to help his shoulders relax. He is now crawling on his hands and knees. (Has been doing the "army" crawl for several months now.) They didn't want him to miss this step. I know, I get lots of people that say, "My kids NEVER crawled and he turned out fine." But folks, Tony isn't your average kid, he is uniqually-challenged! He is such a happy little guy, such a joy and priviledge to watch grow and learn. You can literally see his little brain working as he figures out how to do things. Everyone says he is blessed to be in our family, but really, we are the ones blessed to have him!
Oh, more good news, they have started our adoption paperwork!!! YAHOO!

Till next time...

Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!
