Blast From The Crazy Past: I Know Who Holds Tomorrow...

 So many times while my hubby was working for 15 years at a mill, we ran into this situation. It doesn't even need a time line because it happened many times...

Yesterday afternoon they announced the second layoff in three months at my hubby's plant. One hundred thirty-six more people are without jobs. The last layoff in November was about 200. Last summer they took away the third shift which left quite a few people without jobs. This factory is one of the major employers in our town and valley. They are not the only business, several other businesses have forclosed, gone bankrupt or simply left town. I personally know several people that are leaving town to find jobs elsewhere because there is nothing here. Hubby's job was safe this time around, don't know what the future brings.

The greatest thing though is that we know who is in control. Thankfully, we have a great big God who knows everything and knows the best path for our lives to take. I am so thankful to have a relationship with my Lord and Saviour.

Instead of worrying, I can say "Yes, I am concerned, but I am happy to know that God holds the future..."

Please pray for these families. Alot of them have small children. Alot of them are young families.

The peace of knowing that God is in control is a peace like no other. I may not know that future, but I know who holds tomorrow in His hands...
