Last night I was thinking about how good cornbread and chili sounded, so I got on the internet and found a recipe for Crusty Cornbread. Mine is still baking and I will tell you how it turns out! In the meantime, here is the recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
Directions
- Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select cycle; press Start.
