How is your Christmas break going?
Blast From The Crazy Past: Dear Readers.....
This post was written earlier this year but somehow never got posted. I hope you enjoy a look into the life of Sierra this past Spring:
Dear Readers Of My Mom's Blog,
I'm going to tell you a little bit about my year......
Being 13 has been the craziest year of my life, physically and emotionally. I could barely handle it!
So many changes were taking place, and so many emotions were swirling in my head. Sometimes I would act immature, and other times I acted the right way. I've gone through this many times in my life. Thankfully, I'm getting really serious about making sure I act like a young lady.
But frankly, that craziness was better than what it turned in to...Boring.
All the crazy suddenly stopped. I didn't realize it and took the peace for granted.
Because soon...More changes took place! I wouldn't really qualify it as crazy, but nonetheless, they were changes.
Small ones at first, like getting a new foster child for insistence.
But gradually they got bigger, the biggest one being my mom got surgery. But now that's over and she's recovering nicely.
I don't want to take that peace for granted again because soon enough it will get crazy. But it's hard to be thankful for peace when it's so altogether boring. It doesn't help that I just got over being sick, and you don't do much when you're sick. But I did get some good reading in, that's about the only upside to Boredom...You read, a lot!
Your friend,
Sierra M

Midnight Madness: I'll Be Home For Christmas
I am so blessed to be with my family for Christmas. However, I know there are so many who do not have that blessing this Christmas. This song goes out to our military, their families and anyone else not able to be with family this Christmas. God bless you all!

Christmas Memory or Tradition
Bells!!
By Shelby
My mom went to the store,
and when she was there
she found some beard bells!
She insisted that my
dad wear them...
Of course, he said no
but...
My mom made him wear them!
Since she was putting them on him
she could not take pictures,
I took a few pics.
Here they are...
for your entertainment,
and mine.
He looks very disgusted!
No one can help but laugh.
even him.
The End.

Blast From The Crazy Past: Journey to Bethlehem
Three years ago, our church started doing a walk through nativity.
We enjoy doing it so much, you can tell from the picture of Jane and I!
The newspaper article showed up a week or two after we did it the first year.
We had our Third Annual Journey To Bethlehem and enjoyed it just as must as the last two years!
Have you gone?
Until next time...
Have a blessed day and embrace the craziness in your life!

Fostering Friday: Love is.
Since this is the last Fostering Friday post I will be having,
I wanted to leave with this picture...
This is what love is...
Love is taking a child that isn't your own and loving them unconditionally.
Just now as I was writing this, our little guy walked up...
He recognized the picture and said,
"That's me and daddy!"
Then he said:
"I love daddy so much...he is so special to me!"
This is fostering...this is love.
