I'm told by my parents that when I was two years old, I carried my own backpack full of diapers up on a hike with my parents. So obviously I developed a love for it at a young age. That was also the same trip that I shoved a vitamin C up my nose and screamed for hours till it melted away. Thankfully I didn't develop a love for shoving things up my nose....
Recently we took a hike with our son, T-Boss, and our twin 3 month babies. I wondered how they would do, but they fell asleep and napped the whole time. We went to some local falls that we really enjoy, they are only 1.5 or so hours away. It's a great hike down to the falls...coming up was something else with the extra 12 pounds sitting on our chests, but so worth it!

Tony enjoyed hamming it up and pretending that he was moving trees out of the way for us to go by! It was surprising how many trees were down. There had been a pretty big wind storm a week or two before, which did explain it. We just thought they would have cut the trees down by that point. |
