Blast From The Crazy Past- Happy Thanksgiving

This was originally posted 10 years ago in 2006. Reading through it, there are things I completely forgot happened to our family that year.
Some things that now I don't recall. The one thing that stands out is that Christ is woven through the fabric of our family, no matter what the circumstance is. May you have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving reflecting on Him!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I am thankful to have all my children with me.
So many families have lost their loved ones in the past year.
Whether through sickness, disasters or other things.
I am so thankful that all my children are with us today.
We have had a harrowing past year.
God has been faithful and good to us.
I could never thank Him enough for all He has done. Despite illness and everything else, I would live this past year all over again exactly the way it happened.
We have drawn closer together as a family.
We have learned what it is like to find out that your child could die.
We have learned how to tighten our belts.
We have learned that life is fragile and not to be taken lightly.
We have experienced a new life come into our family.
We have found out that Christ's family extends all over the world and that they will intercede for you even if you don't know them.
We have discovered what it truly means to appreciate what you have.
We have learned the love of friends and family is overflowing.
We found out that wherever God's people are, you have family.
Most of all we have discovered that the same Lord and God who created the world and all we know, cares about the least of us.
Not only cares, but yearns to call us His own.
We saw this in the eyes of our little girl after she gave her heart to the Lord.
And we learned that whether you are four or ninety-four, that God still wants to live in the hearts of man.
So as we go into the holiday season, let's remember the sacrifice God made.
It was all He had and He gave it to you.
God Bless!
Heidi
