Thanksgiving Re-Cap!

This past weekend of Thanksgiving has been so much fun...as I posted on Friday,
our friends, Shane and Glenda, came to town to visit and share Thanksgiving with us. (Check out Glenda's blog here!)

They got into town late Wednesday night, they stopped by our house to drop off a dresser and some things we can use in fostering at some point. (We foster younger kiddos, so I have been collecting things that I think we can use currently or in the future. Thankfully we are blessed with a storage area on our property!) Then off they went to stay at my parents' house.

On Thanksgiving Morning, the girls and T-Boss headed over to grandma's house while Peter, *Stuart Little and I headed to my parents to visit with Shane, Glenda and their kiddos for a bit. Then we headed up to my grandma's house to hang out for awhile with family before time for our yummy dinner!

When we got there, Stuart Little was ready to get some energy out, so a bunch of us headed down the country road to go visit the horses and llamas down the road. That 's been a tradition for my kiddos for years and it was time to show Stuart Little the fun of visiting grandma's house! He loved it and latched onto Sis' hand for the walk!

A couple hours later, my brother and his family arrived as well as my cousin and his wife and it was time to eat! I totally forgot to get pics of the food, but it was an amazing spread!

After dinner we headed back up to my parents house to visit with our friends again while the little ones took nap. Then when everyone got back up to my parents house, it was Thanksgiving Feast Charlie Brown style! Complete with popcorn, jelly beans, toast and pretzels! If you don't know what I am talking about, check out this clip:

After the kiddos were in bed last night, the four of us stayed up playing games and enjoying the fellowship you can have with close friends!

Friday morning we all slept in, at all houses. Then Glenda and I went and did some shopping at various small businesses in town. We also enjoyed the silence....a lot. In fact....we enjoyed it so well that we ended up laughing till we cried because we enjoyed it the quiet. So much for.....quiet! LOL

Friday was the our Thanksgiving and boy was it wonderful. Shane created a turkey masterpiece that was the moistest turkey I had EVER tasted!!! The day was full of games, food and fellowship with crazy laughter and children having fun!

We ended the night going to our town square's Christmas Tree lighting. It was beautiful and a fun walk to downtown.

Saturday.....more games and fun with people going various directions....

Sunday, church was enjoyed by all. We were really sad to see our friends leave on Sunday as we enjoyed such wonderful fellowship. Our kiddos get along great and enjoyed playing with each other. It's rare to find families where EVERYONE gets along great! Even rarer to find friends to play games with!

*Note: Stuart Little is our current placement. He moved in the day before Thanksgiving. He is a fantastic little boy with some special needs.
