Throw Back Thursday: Sick Day Poem January 19, 2009

Dear Friends and Family,
You know when you have been sick for so long that you can't think straight. OR....the thoughts you have sound amazing till later when you realize it must have been illness talking? Happens to me more times than I can count. Apparently not much has changed since January of 2009!
Enjoy this little poem that my sick feverish demented ill little mind came up with!

Midweek Minute: What A Month So Far...

Dear Friends and Family....

I have no idea what is up with the beginning of 2019 so far...two weeks ago, I had to have emergency dental surgery...I spent the next 10ish days recovering as it was a pretty bad extraction. I felt wonderful for a couple days and now....Influenza A. What??

I totally blame this one on DHS...it's the only place I go that my family doesn't go and none of them have the flu. They have all had nasty colds and a tummy bug the past week or so, but not this.

Sigh....I really hope that this is as bad as 2019 gets...it can only go uphill from here, right?!?

Hope you are all doing well,
Heidi

Monday Madness: Bittersweet Experience

Dear Friends and Family,

A few weeks ago, it looked as though someone had hacked into my computer via something I had downloaded. While it didn't seem to be changing anything. I would find social media opened that I had never opened or email passwords changed that I hadn't changed.

Family Friday: Interview With Sierra

Dear Friends and Family, In January and February, I am putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone and see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either! Check out Sierra and her zany answers!

Monday Madness: Why Do I Blog?

Good morning,

Recently I was thinking about the type of blog I have compared to those that I read occasionally. I have a friend who writes very deep and intense blog posts. I read blogs specifically about special needs, fostering, adoption or other such topics. Comparatively, my blog is nothing like those. But I still don't know how I would classify it.

Midweek Minute: I Didn't See That Coming!

Dear Friends and Family,
To say this past week has been a rollercoaster ride would be not do it justice...

Family Fridays: Interview with McKenzie

Dear Friends and Family,
In January and February, I am putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone and see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either! McKenzie cracked me up with her answers, I think you will laugh!

Throwback Thursday: Go To Sleep! (2006)

Dear Friends and Family,

One of the main reasons I started my first blog way back in 2006-ish was to keep track of some of those fun memories that I didn't want to forget when my kiddos got older. The following post was written around 2006 when Jordyn and Shelby were about 5 and 2 years old. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reading it again!

Monday Madness: One Of Those Days...in 2006

Dear Friends and Family,

Have you ever had one of those days where anything that could go wrong...did? As moms, I feel like that happens more than I would like to recall!
I'm going to share a post that I originally posted on May 17, 2006. This was the week before our daughter ended up in the hospital with ITP. It started as a simple UTI. However, little did we know that on both sides of our family there are sulpher allergies that literally almost killed her.
It's interesting to re-read this post now, twelve years later, knowing that while I wrote this silly letter to my hubby about the bad day I was having, that it was only going to get worse and my daughter would be clinging for her life in a few short days. I am SO thankful that we cannot see the future!

Family Friday: Happy Birthday Interview With My Mom

Dear Friends and Family, In January and February, I am putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone and see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either!
It is my mother's birthday today, so I hope you have fun reading her answers. Enjoy and Happy Birthday, Marme!

Throwback Thursday: The Bunny Condo

Today I came across these pictures of our family friends, Kristina and Bailey cleaning out our
bunny Oscar's cage several years ago.
They had so much fun that I had to take a bunch of pictures of them!

Family Fridays: Interview With Peter

Dear Friends and Family,
In January and February, I am putting up interviews that I have done with my family. These are not your typical interviews like "What's Your Favorite Color?" or "Who Is Your Best Friend?". These questions were more to tickle my family's funny bone with a couple serious ones just to see how they would answer. I was not disappointed and I don't think you will be either!

Throwback Thursday: Crazy Day...

Dear Family and Friends,

Do you remember when we had a couple of sets of twins back in 2016? The following post was written when we had a set that I like to call M&M's. They were an adorable pair that laughed a lot and went through a TON of diapers.

Thanksgiving with M&M
It's kind of nice to currently only have one baby (at the time of this writing) and get a bit more sleep, I have to admit!

Take a step back a couple years and see what a day in the life of a foster mom with twin babies was like. It was a Crazy Day!!

May God Bless Your Day,
Heidi
